I’ve had quite a few emails from many of you about the beta program for the new version of MenuMachine. We anticipate releasing the first beta to some of you in the next week or so, with more people added to the testing program as we proceed.
If you have contacted me about the beta, please be assured that you are on the list but do not be alarmed if you are not in the very first round of outside testing.

Can’t wait! Good luck.
I won’t give up GoLive because I love MenuMachine.
June 17th, 2009 at 6:24 am
Like the Phoenix rising from the ashes… good luck and we all can’t wait for the release. Your product has made many many developers lives easier. PMY
June 17th, 2009 at 6:48 am
You’ve put a smile on many designers faces with this news. Best of luck!!
June 17th, 2009 at 9:20 pm
Yeah! I can hardly wait! And summer is a slow time for me: a perfect time to update my site with the latest.
June 18th, 2009 at 12:26 am
YES YES YES I AM SO EXCITED! I LOVE YOUR MENUMACHINE
June 18th, 2009 at 1:36 am
Thrilled I am!
June 18th, 2009 at 4:15 am
I’ve passed on a lot of menu apps in anticipation of yours. I know yours will be the better choice.
June 18th, 2009 at 8:21 am
That’s brilliant news, I’ll be keeping an eye on my inbox to see if I am one of the lucky ones!
June 18th, 2009 at 9:03 am
Great news, thanks!
A site I finished last week: http://desy.com that uses 25 MenuMachine buttons. omg!
Yes, we need v.3
June 19th, 2009 at 4:36 am
Really good news!!! I love MenueMachine!
I will never give up Golive and I’m still angry with Adobe.
June 19th, 2009 at 7:03 pm
I am also very pleased about this good news.
We are building an e-commerce site for a company here in Germany with almost 10.000 products and need Dreamweaver – the site will be built using Spry data sets wit XML files from the companies erp-system. It would be great if we had MM v.3 for the menu structure. We are glad to leave GoLive, the switch to Dreamweaver was the right decision for us.
Keep up the good work.
June 19th, 2009 at 11:33 pm
YES! Can’t wait….!
June 20th, 2009 at 6:47 am
Oh boy, am I glad I found your blog… and this post. I will await the “return” of MenuMachine with baited breath… really!
Had switched to DW from GL, but now diving into Coda… this is the best news, Ron.
Bookmarked.
June 20th, 2009 at 6:58 pm
Yes, and afther that, olso the Windows version….. Not found the same product to use with Dreamweaver
June 21st, 2009 at 12:35 pm
Only reason I haven’t minded my clients ‘design & content changes and slowness’ is because I am waiting for MM3 with quiet desperation – this is good news!
Have not switched to DW completely due to MenuMachine – but GL is getting buggy.
Thank you – hurry!
June 25th, 2009 at 1:57 am
i am litrerally holding my breath! YEA!!!!!
June 27th, 2009 at 1:14 am
I’m adding my voice to the choir. Praise that Aussie pluck and ingenuity. MenuMachine was the reason why we all stuck with Golive (may it rest in peace), and now, Hallelujah, a stand-alone MenuMachine app! Can’t wait!
June 30th, 2009 at 6:18 am
Super!
Je me joins au peuple.
J’ai bien hâte d’essayer votre nouvelle version.
I LOVE MM
Merci beaucoup
June 30th, 2009 at 7:27 am
Can’t wait for MM3! Working with Dreamweaver without it is a pain!!!
July 1st, 2009 at 1:47 am
Can’t wait! I’ve been looking for years and still can’t find anything that comes close to MenuMachine. Like everyone else, I’d like to let go of GoLive and move completely to DW, but MM is the only thing keeping me from a total transition.
July 1st, 2009 at 2:58 pm
I finally moved to dreamweaver and bought projectseven.com menu makeRs…what duds they are. limited everything – YOU CANT EVEN CHANGE TEXT COLORS! HURRY WE NEED YOU!
July 3rd, 2009 at 10:08 am
My cheque book is ready and waiting.
July 4th, 2009 at 3:59 am
I believe virtually every one of your customers is queued up for MM3. There is not a better solution on the market that I can find.
Standing by with bated breath!
July 5th, 2009 at 4:00 am
I’m one of the few people who bought GoLive 9 and was delighted that MenuMachine supported it. Now I’m stuck with Dreamweaver and no MenuMachine support, so I’ve been using both GoLive and Dreamweaver back and forth because of MenuMachine.
Though I hate to give up GoLive completely, I am happy about MenuMachine coming to Dreamweaver as it will simplify my workflow. Thanks to you all for your efforts!
Looking forward to the new release!
Scott

Q. Is it wrong to be looking forward to the imminent release of a piece of software so much?
A. No, not when it’s gonna make so many peoples’ lives so much easier/better/more fun – need I go on.
MenuMachine – I think I speak for quite a lot of people when I say “this will be one of, if not ‘the’ web development software releases of the year”
July 5th, 2009 at 10:03 pm
So hard to wait for it. MM was so good with GL, but until Adobe did this unfortunate decision we switch everything to DW. But Spry Menu is no alternative.
July 12th, 2009 at 12:51 pm
I also can’t wait and would be happy to beta test. I’m have already moved several of my sites from GoLive to Dreamweaver, but keep re-opening them back in Golive just to use Menu machine in them. Spry is a load of crap and cannot make up for the beauty that is MenuMachine.
July 13th, 2009 at 5:50 am
The lack of MenuMachine for dreamweaver is the only reason I am still sticking to GoLive. Could I be on your Beta list?

Just a quick update… unfortunately not that long after this post I was taken very ill with a bacterial infection which knocked me out for almost two weeks, so we’re a little behind. However, I’m back now and the beta is on track to roll out very soon.
July 14th, 2009 at 10:29 am
Hope you are feeling better! I adore MenuMachine and have found nothing to compare to it. That you are working on the beta release is wonderful news.
July 14th, 2009 at 5:49 pm
Rob, sorry to hear about your illness. I hope that you are feeling much better now. Those type of infections can really knock you for six!
July 14th, 2009 at 6:36 pm
Thanks guys, I am feeling much better. Antibiotics work wonders.
July 15th, 2009 at 10:16 pm
Looking forward to the beta, Rob.
July 16th, 2009 at 4:20 am
My Tears are flowing with Joy!
Can’t wait to see what you’ve come up with.
July 23rd, 2009 at 5:21 pm
Have used MenuMachine for a long time with my sites built in GoLive – like many I have had to change to Dreamweaver for Mac during the last couple of years. The last bastion of GoLive amongst my sites I had to re-build in Dreamweaver CS4 two months ago. It’s a large sit with many different menus included, I have been struggling with various menu software options, none of which work satisfactorily on every browser platform, which MenuMachine certainly did. I would be most grateful if you would include me in your beta release list, and I look forward to the ease and reliability of working with MenuMachine again.
July 26th, 2009 at 11:18 pm
Oh oh, didn’t realize those links listed above would be active. Excuses! Please go ahead and delete them. Jeez, and it’s only Sunday…
July 27th, 2009 at 11:39 pm
Really looking forward to this, I’m about to redesign 2 sites that use menumachine and would love to be able to skip Golive altogether, as well as have Dreamweaver compliant code. Can I also be on the beta list? Getting rather desperate.
July 28th, 2009 at 12:09 pm
Been holding off on switching to DW for just this news. Can’t wait!!!
July 31st, 2009 at 8:37 pm
Just had to resurrect GoLive to make some updates to a site. I sure hope it’s not too long now before the beta is available, as it would have meant that I could probably have updated the site in Dreamweaver, which would be nice.
Nearly all my sites have been transferred over to Dreamweaver now and having the ability to create menus as easily as I could in GoLive will be an absolute godsend.
August 6th, 2009 at 6:32 am
I so can’t wait that I’ve set this as my homepage so I can check everyday..
August 7th, 2009 at 5:01 am
PLEASE tell me there will be a Windows/Dreamweaver compatible version of MM3!!!!!!
I have searched and searched and not been able to find anything I like as well for menus as Menu Machine.
August 7th, 2009 at 9:50 am
Sorry Cathy, but we will not be producing a version of MenuMachine that works with Windows at this stage.
August 10th, 2009 at 6:38 pm
I check this website on a regular basis to see if the new Menu Machine is available. I migrated to DW because of Adobe no longer supporting Golive but am keeping all my old sites running on Golive. Can’t wait to migrate all my sites to DW once MenuMachine is available. I will have two Xmas’s in one year if MM comes out before year end.
August 14th, 2009 at 9:44 am
Obviously, Rob, MenuMachine has fans, lots of them, but if they’re anything like me, time is running out! I don’t want to put any more pressure on you, there’s enough on all of us coming from all directions these days, but we really need to know when the beta will be released. My own company is at the point now where MM2 can no longer be used in any practical sense with our CMS; it’s hindering us. PLEASE let us loyal fans know when that beta will be released. PLEASE!
August 17th, 2009 at 9:09 am
We share the same boat as Rod’s company. We’ve postponed as long as possible, but maintaining GL is no longer feasible. Please give us some insight to an alpha release!
August 18th, 2009 at 9:26 am
Same here, we would love to have an ETA and be part of any beta testing.
August 18th, 2009 at 10:35 am
VERY glad to hear the news. Now I can upgrade to Dreamweaver at last… Would love to be part of the Beta crew.
Please let us know, will MM3 have any audio capabilities? ie, will we be able to assign clicks and blips etc to mouse overs, a la Flash, and thus be able to bring a whole new sensory layer into the creative process?
Many thanks. Can’t wait for the release.
August 18th, 2009 at 12:16 pm
There won’t be any audio options in the initial release. Our aim is to have the initial release be a solid base upon which we can build other more advanced functionality.
August 20th, 2009 at 1:59 am
Another Fan of MM! Have 16 sites with MM navigation. Recently had to break down and use Project7 for an internal DW project. I really miss MM.
Would love to be a beta tester too. Good luck Rob!
August 20th, 2009 at 9:40 pm
Can’t wait. I’m checking menumachine web almost daily now.
