Things are generally progressing well, however at present we’re having some problems with support for the upcoming Dreamweaver CS5. There are some complex technical issues related to the JavaScript engine in the new version that we did not have to deal with with the earlier releases. Since Dreamweaver CS5 will be available very soon we think it’s important to make sure this problem is resolved.
We’ll be seeding to more testers soon, so stay tuned.

“some problems with support for the upcoming Dreamweaver CS5″
Will it be out before Dreamweaver 6?

You have a Dreamweaver CS5 beta? Really?
March 23rd, 2010 at 11:15 am
No, we don’t plan on going bust any time soon.
March 23rd, 2010 at 11:16 am
Yes, we have access to Dreamweaver betas.
March 24th, 2010 at 9:10 am
Wah!!! I’m just hoping to be able to afford Menu Machine. At this point, I could care less about CS5..

A MM3 release not immediately supporting DWCS5 is not a problem on for me. Don’t let Adobe determine your release date.

As a longtime user of MM. I agree with Greg. I would not hold up a release of MM for CS5. While I agree that support for CS5 will be necessary in the near future, it should not hold up the release if its ready with that one exception. I believe that a release with all the problems that go with it would help with the development of MM. As a developer myself, nobody can dup all the different combinations possible. I would recommend that you consider rolling out MM as a 0.9 app and find out what the problems are. Also, it would allow guys like me get on with our business and see what is shaking.

I agree with Airdog. I dropped Dreamweaver long ago have been waiting for the new MM release since it was announced. It was a bit of a smack in the face to read that it’s release has been delayed by CS5. Won’t you please consider releasing it as a stand-alone version now and having the CS5 version as an update? That would help a LOT of your loyal customers.
March 26th, 2010 at 12:16 am
I agree with AirDog and Alan. In reply to the comment about Now Software, yes there is the danger that all but 20 of the old customers will have gone somewhere else, but I have been looking around and I can’t really find anything that matches ALL of MM. You can buy vertical menus and horizontal menus and some very poor looking menus that don’t allow much customization. That’s why I stuck with GoLive CS2 for soooo long. I really want MM3 to happen very soon.

Have to agree with everyone here.

The sooner the better guys! As you can see – you’ve got a lot of fans chomping at the bit! I like to hang back at least one version anyways – I’ve had enough of Adobe’s ‘de-facto’ beta testing on us… so waiting for CS5 is a bummer.

Will menu machine be available for Dreamweaver CS3? I miss it so much.
April 10th, 2010 at 1:28 pm
Yes, the upcoming version of MenuMachine has a support plug-in for Dreamweaver that we’ve tested in CS3, CS4 and CS5.

Again, I have to agree, with all who care enough to post, By the time your ready to roll out MM compatible with DW5, Adobe will be beta’ing DW6, and you’ll be holding up the release date for that version.
We have been waiting a very long time, and I for one am really thinking that this will never be released *(Vapourware)
You really are now running the risk of low sales and success rate,as people may have gone else ware.
Don’t worry about Adobe, There are many that won’t or cant upgrade to DW5 and would b e happy to use MM with our current software.
Release it asap and work on compatibility issues moving forward.
Your potential customers will love you for it!
Reality Check, Adobe , couldn’t care less about you.

We’ve addressed the CS5 issues and are in the process of prepping for the final beta releases.
Adobe’s position towards our company couldn’t have been more clear when they dumped GoLive without giving us a moment’s notice. To this day I’ve had not a single word from anyone in Adobe in response to my queries about the cancellation of the product.
We’re also under no illusions about the effects of our long product development time on customer retention.
When we get MenuMachine out the door I will post more detail about the technical and other reasons behind the long development process, but in the meantime I can guarantee you that MenuMachine is not vapourware, it’s very real, and we’re nearly there.

Rob, we have all been waiting such a long time for this release. I hope you have some surprises for us. I hope this will be something that blows away everything out there. Some comments I’ve read on this blog about other menu systems are correct. From a consumers view they’re trying to take us for a ride. It’s ridiculous that other companies try and sell vertical, horizontal, etc., separately. We all have enough extensions and add-ons. We need something like MenuMachine 3 that is all bundled into one product which creates any type of menu. Hopefully it will do even more..
DOEY is right about July, but it’s almost Aug now and still no word. I’m still in hopes that what you’re creating will be an up-to-date state of the art system that will be compatible for future internet programming developments. I also hope you’ve conquered the Search Engine friendly issues that MM2 has.
Looking forward to seeing you and your team prevail all the bad comments that are starting to appear. Although I think they have every right to complain, I still believe and hope that MM3 will be a top notch #1 Menu system that no one will be able to compete with.
